Meet Blake: A Passionate Educator with a Heart for Adventure and Learning

Born and raised in Texas, Blake brings over a decade of experience in education and youth mentorship. His journey began in high school, where he served as a mentor through the PALS program, supporting younger students in his community.

Over the years, Blake has worn many hats—day camp facilitator at the YMCA, kindergarten substitute teacher during the pandemic, and a dedicated mentor in the Big Brothers program. He has also volunteered at the Perot Children’s Museum in Dallas and served as a docent at a local nature center, where he shared his enthusiasm for the natural world with visiting families and students. In addition, Blake has tutored English through the Workers Defense Project, reflecting his deep commitment to learning and community service.

Recently, Blake has combined his love for the outdoors with his passion for education. He spent time at a rustic sleepaway camp in rural California, leading activities in nature crafts, backpacking, and hands-on construction projects. Most recently, he served as a children’s ski instructor at Keystone Resort during the 2024–2025 winter season.

Blake is excited to bring his energy, creativity, and love for nature to the children and families of Summit County as Mountain Top Explorium's Program Coordinator. He’s dedicated to creating joyful, educational experiences that inspire young minds to explore and connect with the world around them.
