Meet the Dream Team: Why Mountain Top Summer Staff Are Simply the Best

At Mountain Top Summer Camp, we believe the heart of an unforgettable summer isn’t just the sunshine or the scenery—it’s the people. Our staff are more than just counselors. They’re educators, explorers, mentors, artists, scientists, and outdoor enthusiasts who bring passion, purpose, and a whole lot of heart to every single camp day.

This summer’s team is bursting with talent, and we’re beyond excited to introduce a few of the incredible humans making camp magical in 2025:

🌄 Mounia Amani brings her joyful spirit and ski school expertise to help kids thrive in outdoor adventures. She's passionate about encouraging growth, connection, and curiosity—and always happiest near water, with friends and family close by.

🧵 Shannon Higgins is a creative force and snow sports instructor studying early childhood education. Whether through sewing projects or summer science, Shannon’s all in on experiential learning—and plenty of laughter.

🏞️ Lissy Brown has a rich background in education and a lifelong love for Breckenridge. With decades of experience teaching young learners, she brings warmth, wisdom, and a deep appreciation for children’s curiosity.

🎨 Jae Cowen is a creativity powerhouse—whether it’s leading a hike, painting, or making pottery. With a background in camp counseling and ski instruction, Jae is all about helping kids build confidence through exploration.

📚 Quintin Fisher returns for his third summer! A fan of books, nature, and talent shows, Quintin shines when he's helping kids learn about the world around them in fun, hands-on ways.

🌿 Anna Hicks is a returning staffer who brings science to life with energy and enthusiasm. Studying Biology and Environmental Studies, Anna’s excited about kayaking, hiking, and getting campers as fired up about the outdoors as she is.

🎾 Liam Baylor is back for another summer! A Special education teacher and tennis enthusiast, Liam’s all about showing campers the magic of mountain life—from biking trails to snowy slopes. His energy and love for the outdoors are contagious.

🎺 Ashton Hoelscher wears many hats—educator, musician, outdoor guide—and is thrilled to combine all those passions at Mountain Top. His goal? Inspire a love of STEM and nature in every camper he meets.

🌱 Noah Hayes is a STEM-savvy after-school leader and an ultra-runner in training. He’s passionate about environmental stewardship and getting kids outside—and he’ll inspire campers to love nature with every trail run and rock climb.

🌄 Carlos Lopez brings a rich background supporting youth and bilingual families across Summit County. His enthusiasm for welcoming new campers—especially first-timers—is what Mountain Top is all about: inclusion, community, and fun.

💪 Owen Fisher returns after loving his time at camp last year. From lifeguarding to leading lessons, he brings positivity, strength, and a deep love of camp activities—especially hiking and biking.

🧠 Sadie Schroder has spent the last decade empowering kids. With a goal to become a pediatric occupational therapist, she brings compassion and creativity to camp every day. She knows connection is at the core of real growth. Oh yeah, and she's a Summit High Grad too!

🌿 Morgan brings a unique blend of scientific knowledge and outdoor adventure to our summer camp team. With a degree in Plant Biology and experience as an expedition leader, she’s passionate about helping young explorers discover the wonders of the natural world. Whether she’s guiding hikes, identifying birds, or sharing stories about local ecosystems, Morgan’s enthusiasm is absolutely contagious.

🌍 Josceline Ortega has spent the last few years bringing positivity and care to kids through camps, babysitting, and volunteer programs. An avid paddle boarder and traveler, she thrives on new experiences and the connections they create. This summer, she’s especially looking forward to building friendships and helping campers make memories that last a lifetime.

🌼 Sheccid first discovered Mountain Top through our after-school program and quickly fell in love with the community. With experience supporting preschoolers and volunteering in her local Latin church, Sheccid has a gift for making every camper feel welcome and valued. In her free time, she loves exploring trails with her little brother and learning new things—and she’s excited to help campers do the same.
