2024 Mid-Year Update

It’s been an amazing first half of the year full of new programs, increased capacity, and more scholarships distributed than ever before.

Summer Camp

This summer is shaping up to be an exciting camp season! We’ve introduced weekly themes combining outdoor hikes, large group games, and tons of STEM activities. We've also increased our capacity, allowing more children to join in on the fun.

After School & School Break

In January we moved our after school and school break programs from Mountain Top Explorium to local schools. We also expanded our reach to serve students at Breckenridge and Upper Blue Elementary. To ensure accessibility for all families, we provided these important enriching child-care programs on a sliding fee scale, making it easier for those requiring scholarships to participate.

What’s Next

We don’t want to wish summer away but we’re excited for the school year. It’s going to bring some new programs, new exhibits, and lots of creative enthusiasm.

After School & School Break

Similar to last year, our programs will run Monday through Thursday at both Breckenridge and Upper Blue Elementary. We've updated our curriculum and themes, which will now be facilitated in 2-week blocks to keep things fresh and engaging. While our ultimate goal is to offer these programs for free, we're currently providing them on a sliding fee scale, ensuring families with the highest need can access the program at a limited cost.

Explorium Exhibits

We're excited to announce that we're preparing to update some of our exhibits and offer more programs at the Explorium! Stay tuned as we also enhance our signage to be bilingual, in both English and Spanish, making our exhibits more accessible to a wider audience. Be sure to keep an eye out for more Explorium Playdates, where families can enjoy special themed activities and events!

STEM Enrichment

Explorium facilitators frequently visit classrooms to deliver enriching STEM programs. We're excited to introduce new lessons and themes as we enhance our science-based curriculum to provide even more engaging and educational experiences.

Thank you so much to all of our generous donors  for making these programs possible!
