2026 Dates & Themes
Each session has a unique theme which is used to guide the majority of the activities. Each day will still utilize a variety of staple day camp activities.
Base Camp Rates
Before March 10th: $115 per day/ $400 per week
After March 10th: $125 per day or $425 per week

Summit & Park District Students
Before March 10th: $70 per day/ $325 per week
After March 10th: $75 per day or $350 per week

Kids Night Out
Extend your day camp experience and spend the evening at the Explorium Children's Museum. This means you can drop-off in the morning and campers and parents get a full day adventure.
Scholarships
Mountain Top Explorium is dedicated to supporting our families in financial need. We will be are accepting applications on a rolling basis. We encourage all families with demonstrated financial need to apply. More information will be available shortly. ​

Campfire
Our "Campfire" circles kick off and close out every day! This essential group time focuses on team-building, name games, and reflecting on our daily adventures to build lasting friendships.

Kayaking
Kayaking takes place on Maggie Pond. This new program focuses on building confidence and independence through expert-led instruction, ensuring a safe and engaging experience for every young paddler.

Rambles & Outdoor Fun
Our rambles are a cornerstone of a Mountain Top Explorium day camp experience. These are times that we are hiking, playing, and learning about the theme of each week. Programs also include a variety of outdoor skills.

Camp Classics
We have dedicated time for each trail group to select a fun an engaging camp activity such as fishing, kayaking, gondola rides, miniature golf, and group challenges.

Grand Games
We will spend the majority of our days within small groups called our “crews.” There are also times when we will bring together multiple crews if not the whole day camp to play a large group game based on the theme of the week.

Discovery Time
This is our term for “recess” or “free time.” There will be occasional times throughout the day Discovery Time, which will be a time to play in the woods with some minor rules. Click here to learn more about the purpose and benefits of Discovery Time.

Please note this is a sample schedule and each day will be different based on the age of your camper and the theme of the week.
8:30-9:00a: Camper Drop Off
9:00a: Campfire
9:15a: Morning Activity Block
12:00p: Lunch (bring a sack lunch which can be enjoyed on the trail)
1:00p: Tranquil Time
1:20p: Afternoon Activity Block
3:50: Grand Games
4:45p: Closing Campfire
5:00-5:30p: Camper Pick -Up
