High School Internship: Get Paid, Learn Real-World Skills

Mountain Top Explorium started a successful Program Internship in January of 2025 which was even highlighted in the Summit Daily. We’re excited to continue the development of this program and are working to engage teens so that they can gain a paycheck while developing real-life career skills. Our interns support our Kids Night Out, After School, School Break, and Summer Day Camp programs. As they gain more experience and credentials, each intern will gain the opportunity for increased pay.

“As a member of Mountain Top, I didn’t fully realize that I was making a change until all the students called out my name in excitement. They were all excited to see me and give hugs. I will forever carry that memory with me."

-Josceline, 2025 Program Intern

Application Process

We understand that applying for a position with Mountain Top Explorium can be an exciting yet intimidating process. Explorium staff are committed to making the application and hiring process simple and supporting each applicant each step of the way. The internship is a competitive process and not all applicants may get selected right away but we are excited to offer trainings and other opportunities to engage with the Explorium to help them gain the required experience.

  • Complete the Interest Form: This is a great first step to show your interest. We ask for basic contact information and can start communicating through phone or text.

  • Apply Online: There is a traditional online application which requires a resume. We understand that each potential intern might not have a resume and we can provide assistance and resources to help everyone draft their resume.

  • Interview: The goal of the interview is to educate potential interns about the role, expectations, and learn more about their goals and experience.

  • Offer Letter & Expectations: The offer letter is a signed contract between the intern and their guardian and helps to solidify the schedule and expectations.

  • Training: Each intern will participate in a dedicated training before working with students. Once the program is started their will be a series of ongoing training opportunities available to each intern.
